The most reliable fix for a company that feels busy and slow is to change one meeting. Drop the round of status updates and talk about three things: the result you're trying to move, what moved it this week, and what needs deciding now.

Write down each decision with the reason and who made the call, so it doesn't get reopened next week. Name what's blocked and who can unblock it. End the meeting when the decisions are made.

It's thirty minutes, and it's where the plan turns into work. Most of the software a company buys is really there to feed that meeting.
